No, my dog sleeps in his kennel, and not on my bed.

In the year 1985 I bought a baby donkey for my farm. An orphan infact. Its mother had died when a truck ran over it. I fed it with cow's milk and kept it clean and took particular care of it personally. In the summer months I used to sleep on a camp cot under the sky in the farm. The baby donkey insisted on sleeping under the cot every night. It wanted my proximity to sleep. It must have considered me its mother figure, I suppose. While I had plenty of cattle, goats, sheep and 2 dogs in the farm, the baby donkey kept looking upon me alone for comfort. It did not develop the affection to the night watchman or any of the farmhands. I never named it though. I used to call it 'hey' and it used to respond and come running to me. Once it grew to be an 1 year old it started getting lazy and somewhat less lovely than what it was as a baby. So I sold it. Must be dead by now. This is not exactly an answer, just sharing old memories.
