I dont think all men like violence, just like how all women dont like shopping and high heels. its a stereotype.

This question is a bit of an unfair generalization. There are men who don't like violence. There are some women who do like violence. Maybe another way to phrase the question would be "Why do people like violence so much?" or "Why does it seem like men are more violent than women?" I don't mean to be gnitpicky. I'm very much a proponent of women's rights, and it's always important to be wary of anti-male sexism as well. If we say that anti-male sexism is okay but anti-female sexism is not okay, we turn ourselves into hypocrites and undermine our own cause. (I'm not saying that's what you did...I'll get off my soapbox now)

I am a man, and for men, everything comes back to sex and power. Men like to see other men put in their place...it makes them feel stronger (manly), and the other man becomes like a woman (weaker). So basically its a form of repressed homosexuality...to make another man his bitch, to have ultimate power over him.

Enough men like violence to justify a generalization. Testosterone supports violence among other things. Enough women like dolls and cooking to justify a generalization. Estrogen supports nurturing among other things. Its all ok, whatever you like, make it work for you.

It gets the adrenaline pumping. It might go back to the hunt. When violence was necessary for survival.
