  • an RN makes more money in the long run, but has alot more schooling than a dental hygienist. its all in what you want to do. if you want to mess with nasty rotted teeth or with very sick could die people. thats how i looked at it when i decided i didnt want to do either haha. good luck with your decision!
  • A Dental Hygienist would work mostly during the business day (no midnight shifts), so it would be easier to schedule your time. No doubt that an RN with a Bachelor's degree would make more money and be in greater demand than a Hygienist with an Associate's degree, but I think that both professions are expanding. You would probably desensitize yourself to the "yukkiness" of the work in a very short time, and see it as a Medical/Dental Professional should.
