Luck is all about attitude. My cousin crashed his motorcycle and was in a coma with a collapsed lung. He was back to work within 2 weeks. Some would say it is bad luck that he had an accident; we feel that it is good luck that he is alive. My brother was at a concert and there was a fire. He was in a coma for 2 weeks; we consider him lucky to be alive- 100 other people did not survive that fire. I was given the chance to write a book. I worked on the book in 30-36 hour shifts with only 1-3 hour breaks in between for 5 weeks in order to meet the publisher's deadline. I was lucky to get a book deal, but it was only lucky because I applied myself to the task and created lucky results. If you are lucky enough to live in a place with readily available electricity, computers, internet, food and freedom; if you have loved ones to care about and are not dealing with death- appreciate that incredible luck while you have it. The rest is just extra toppings on the pizza.

luck or lucky, is what you were when talking about the past. When someone says good luck its like peeing in the wind, but i guess its the thought that counts ;)
