  • Nah. Life is too short to waste time on things like that. Besides, I turned off my ratings so I don't even notice;)
  • No, I dont have my ratings on, so I wouldnt know if it did happen.
  • Most of the users who D-rate a lot are cowards. They D-rate without ever leaving comments. Any anger that I hold for such users passes momentarily as I move on to my next question or answer.
  • Yeah, I used to. Not anymore. I just remind myself that negative ratings don't affect our overall score. @ trolls: you can't bring me down to Beginner level with your negative points. Do something positive: leave the Internet, walk your dog, talk to your friends, watch a movie with your family.
  • Nope. I have my ratings box unchecked in my profile. There are many other things that annoy me more than DRs.
  • I am surprised that stupid button is still there. It is being used to piss people off rather than what it's intended use was for. But I suppose it makes for a bit of excitement here on AB.
  • I kind of want to punch the person that's downrating me in the face. But nah, I'm not bothered :)
  • No I'm not angry if thats their desire let them carry on!!!
  • I think they are a bunch of losers who hide behind a computer and find happiness in making people mad. If you really look at it, you gotta feel sorry for them because they are so pathetic, they don't know any better. Now your D/Rers-happy, go ahead and make my day! :)
  • You know I used to but then someone told me this: "you must be doing something right or you wouldn't be DRd". since then I don't let it bother me that much. It still upsets me but I just tell myself "oh shut, I pissed off someone..shame on me" LOL What I don't get is that people continue to do it despite the fact that it does NOTHING to our score. Do they not care that it lowers their % and that people can look at their % and tell you who does the DRing the most. makes no sense.
  • No, but it would be better if they left a comment or two expressing their point of view instead of just down ratting like a coward and running away.
  • Oh it's fun. Once I understood that in the great scheme of things the DRs don't count I gave up worrying about them.
  • No, I like those people. They remind me that just because I'm here doesn't mean I have to be a mindless automaton.
  • No I use this approach The Law of the Garbage Truck One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport. We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his brakes, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us. My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean he was really friendly. So I asked, 'Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!' This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call, 'The Law of the Garbage Truck.' He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they'll dump it on you. Don't take it personally. Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don't take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets. The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day. Life's too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so...Love the people who treat you right. Pray for the ones who don't. Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you take it! So I am wishing you a garbage-free day!
  • no, I pity anyone who puts that much importance on AB points. I just want to hug them and make it all better!
  • Sometimes I find it annoying, but it happens. What really annoys me are ones who go after someone and will DR them 10-15 times, usually in one big 'raid'. I don't know what they think it accomplishes as it doesn't take away points from the person and only makes their own percentage go down and can land them in the Penalty Box which happens quite often. What you can do if it starts to bother you, is to click the 'Ratings" button on your own profile in Feedback and then you won't see it happening and that makes for a lot more enjoyable ABing. It makes you answer and people focused rather than on those points and would be attacks.
