It can be. Particularly if it is "sputtering." (nearly dying with zero power, followed by resurgence of power). One of the frequent specifics of bad gas is water content, and of course water doesn't burn. Try adding a can of "dry gas." Alcohol in the dry gas mixes with the water so it can be burned off without this problem.

If its immediately after filling up you most likely got a dose of water in the gas or clogged a fuel filter. Never get gas while or right after they get a delivery, Drive to the next station.

Well if it's not the food you ate.It could be in need of maintenance? Change all the accessories you can get to if able,could be a vac leak,plug might be fowling out,distributor may need new,cap,rotor,plugs,wires.You may be astounded.Change your fuel filter lately?
