How do you feel about entertainers making their CDs available to only certain stores? (selling them only at Wal-Mart, for example)

Artists have a right to do what they want to, have to, in order to make money, make a living, and to feed their family. It doesn't bother me because I understand the market we are living in. Besides in the technological day and age we are living in, if you really want a CD and that particular store is nowhere near you then either buy it online or download it.

I take the opposite position than the person who answered your question first. I consider such actions of an artist restricting his / her work to specific stores short sighted. If it were not for people buying the cd's, the artist is out of work. the more outlets, the better chance they have to become well known. in a business that is so competitive, so cut throat, public awareness is the key to success
