VERY good point, hence why people who make statements, like that idiot that just said "Good night AB-ers" gets -5 from me.
-
The problem is people do not care to take the trouble to read the instructions and suggestions given by the AB. AB clearly says questions should be interrogative in nature and should be terminated with a question mark. But some members choose to make statements and expect answers for them. The irony is such statements do receive answers.

According to the rules of the site, anything posted as a question without being a question can be flagged and will normally be rejected. It must be done that way because it is not possible for Answerbag's program to recognize a question. So anything can be posted as a question, for instance a mere statement, but those things usually get rejected. Notice that something like a rhetorical question or a suggestive question will normally not be rejected, although it is mostly nothing much more than a statement.

Ok, and?

You mean these arent questions, they have question marks, LOL!!!! Oh hello? Obama won! McCain conceded. Seems he didn't stand up for the thumpers. OBAMA WINS? Yep, mccain concedes http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/11/0... McCain Concedes As Democratic Nominee Takes Historic Victory; "A New Dawn Of American Leadership Is At Hand," Obama Says Tomorrow the Winner? And all the conspiracy theories (with no basis of course,) and religious doom-sayers are going to be very very quiet. :-x Leaves you time for all that end of the world poop.

I feel they understand but fail to care. By the time it gets flagged and removed 10 people have answered which in my opinion makes it harder for those accepting or denying flags job harder, thinking that if it was so bad why did 10 people answer it. If members would just ignore them two important things will happen. The person asking will see no one wants to listen to their grandstand statements and those who accept the flags will do so without question. I also feel that the more people who flag it the faster it will go away.

I think everyone understands but they haven't learned to make their statement into a question. My advice would be to always put one of the following words at the beginning...what,who,where,why, and put a question mark at the end. It looks like this ? and then everyone should be happy. Well I will take that back not everyone...can't make everyone happy here.

Does everyone understand that this is a website, not something to over personalize.
-
I honestly don't care what everyone does on this site, i just pick and choose the things i want to participate in. I hang with my friends and have a good time.
-
i really dont care. i view it simply as a discussion forum. i believe people should express themselves as they see fit. i think following the general guidelines is helpful ~ yes it is structured as a q&a site. but so what? its just a website. its free speech. just enjoy it.

Is this a statement or a question? ;)
-
Because a lot of folks get tired of waiting for someone else to ask the loaded questions they're hoping for.
-
Who cares, if it bugs you then just ignore them.
-
People will make it what ever kind of site they want as long as they are heard.
