  • Listed in the pages of the drivers license manual you should be reading.
  • So what's the question? Did you mean, "Generally, how fast are the rural speed limits?" or "What are the speed limits for rural areas in general?" or something along those lines?
  • 45 right?
  • Most rural routes are 35 to 45 MPH depending on the roadways and jurisdictions, I have seen rural routes up to 55 MPH.
  • what country are we in? USA i assume since it's MPH.. In the US it depends upon the region and the road. Out west in Wyoming/Montana/Colorado you'll rarely see a non-dirt road below 55MPH except in the mountains. On the coasts and higher population density areas it will be lower. Also depends on the land. Flat open land -> higher limits. Windy forested areas -> lower. No real direct answer on this one.
  • It all depends on where you are refering to.
  • Around here? Rural Ontario, while not legal, it's whatever speed keeps you still between the ditches. 60 km/hr is usually the posted maximum but it's not uncommon to be doing 100-120 on a good dirt road.
  • In Britain rural roads which is called NSL National Speed Limit is 60MPH, Going down to 40MPH in some areas MPH applys in UK Too, it is the Continental Europe that use KPH
