  • The land in the Arctic is always being scouted for oil. If you are refering to the floating block of ice that surrounds the North Pole then I doubt there will be any oil there, oil comes from dead tissue having decayed and been squashed over hudreds of years. There is very little organic material on, in and around the ice so it is unlikely that there is any oil reserves.
  • I personally don't think so. What is this world coming to these days, we should have some respect for the enviroment. I mean we are willing to kill thousands of animals for oil. I think we should invest in fuel-efficent cars. What are othher peoples veiws?
  • I sure don't think so.
  • I think it would be disasterous. I have personally seen and experienced an oil spill and it devastating to the environment. In the arctic this devastation would be ten fold. It is unfortunate that mankind could be so short sighted as to very possibly destroying the world in a very short time(50years) for oil. The arctic is the most fragile part of the planet and the repercussions are far great than we could image.
