Why is it that most people reacts poorly to sarcasm? Are cool people a dying and cherished breed?

I guess 'sarcasm is the lowest form of wit', plus if your refuring that to answerbag, then maybe because it's hard to sense sarcasm through a keyboard.

I have found that at lot of Answerbag users don't appear to have any sense of humour whatsoever, and sarcasm apparantly is unheard of.

Depends on what kind of sarcasm. The words can hurt ppl deep enough, deeper the gun wounds. Why not use words build up and encourage rather than destroy and criticize?

Different people have different senses of humour. Some people make racist/anti Semitic/sexist jokes, which others are unlikely to find funny. Sarcasm is often misconstrued, especially over the internet where there is no tone of voice etc to interpret.
