Hey Jame 233; I was tring to be funny on first answer, Its my understanding the heater core is a pig to replace on the Taurus. Mad Max gave you good info I was not aware of the wind shield remove only the droping of steering collum. Reguardless if you have a use of a garage and a few tools I would tackle it. Normally a heater core will cost $30 for the kind of vehicles us common folk drive. And the rest is common sence and the time you will be out replacing the core. Even if it takes you the whole weekend. You will feel good about what you have accomplished. So go for it, Dave
