Not on a subject they feel like being stubborn on. My father-in-law is like that. Generally a really nice guy, but I've come to recognize when it's best to just agree that the sky is make of maple syrup and then drop it - if that's what he's saying. . And sometimes the issue is just that silly too. +5

I think so, my husband is the definition of stubborn and our son (3) is even worse, which i didn't think was possible! But I've learned if I catch him at the right time, I can have a good conversation with him, it just all comes down to timing and his mood. It's hard, but worth it, wish it could be easier tho!

Sure. If you are in the wrong and they are in the right they can show you the light.

Not a decent one....a decent one has to go back and forth with open minds to absorb each others ideas.....if someone is a closed door....they just want you to listen to them and believe it is the right way to think....

I dont know about stubborn but I have always kept this in mind and used this one rule for conversations and it seems to work: "Never start an argument with an idiot, they will beat you down and win on experiance." It could be true.........
