Heck no he did all his own work. Read a book, he spit rails with an ax. I am from Kentucky and you should visit Hodgenville, Ky. and you could learn all about good ole Abe.

Mary Todd was his love slave.
-
Yes he did. I believe the white House had slaves. He did own them.
-
No. Several weeks ago I spent an hour or so on the internet over this; and no: he owned no slaves. EDIT: Here's perhaps the best site in my search: http://www.nas.com/~lopresti/ps.htm EDIT: http://www.nas.com/~lopresti/ps16.htm

I would question Lincoln owning slaves. I think everyone working in the White House were paid employees. But it's been proven that Jefferson Davis had slaves, in fact one was his "love slave".

Abraham Lincoln never owned slaves. His wife did. he didn't.
-
Mans man. can you site a referance?
-
Regardless of what you have heard, there is no truth to this assertion. Lincoln is sometimes confused with other presidents who did own slaves, such as George Washington and Thomas Jefferson.
-
No. Lincoln never owned slaves. His wifes parents did and she inherited them upon their death. Having no use for slaves or slavery, the Lincolns sold their slaves.
