  • I always liked the Santa in "Ernest Saves Christmas".
  • Edmund Gwenn in Miracle on 34th Street (1947).
  • Personally I liked Sir Richard Attenborough in the remake of Miracle on 34th Street. He was exactly the sort of person I pictured in my mind as a child (me not Santa!).
  • Nigel Hawthorne in Call Me Claus (2001), and Edmund Gwenn in Miracle on 34th Street (1947), and I can consider the remake as a good movie. They are (or were in the case of the first two) very good actors, and I don´t stop enjoying their movies.
  • Burl Ives.....I can't remember the movie but he was excellent as Santa. +
  • Tim allen did pretty good in the Santa Clause but i really liked the guy from Miracle on 34th street (can't remember his name)
  • I don't know which miracle on 34st it was. But one of them. I guess that 2 remake based on chris's pic but I'm not positive. I've only ever seen one version actually that I can think of. (same version shown on TV here in the US year after year) I liked how that santa had a air of true benefactor. Someone with a temper too for those who would hurt others by negligence or intent. Wasn't a strong note in the movie but it was there and nice. The scene with the drunk santa and another scene I think especially. Kinda reminds me of the idea of jesus clearing the temples of greedy merchants. Also the other ways he went out of his way to help others, not just a generic magical figure handing out toys once a year. I also liked how it remained a mystery, the movie never confirmed or denied that he was the real santa. I don't like that movie, "the santa clause" One of my issues with the movie, that the magic of the previous santa thought that the best replacement in the case of the demise of santa was his killer. Thats like a will stating a estate goes to the person who kills the will owner by accident or intent.
