Where do millions go hungry in the Western world? If your kids are going hungry in the US or the UK today, you're not trying to get your kids fed.

Are you talking about the U.S.? I don't see a bunch of starving people running around. I see a bunch of fat people driving nice cars and talking on cell phones complaining about how bad they have it here. I see fat kids that play video games all day then go down to the park to get their "free" lunch for the poor. Quit being so melodramatic. It's not that bad here in the *evil* USA.

every country that's ever fought a war has contributed to the world's hunger problem armed conflict is the number one cause of starvation/famine over the course of history and there is no reason for anyone in this country (america) to EVER go hungry. there are government food distribution programs, soup kitchens, and food banks available in every community

Because the government is led by monomaniacal, rigid mindset, stubbornly certain so-called "leaders" whose goal is not to serve "we the people", but rather to impose its will on the rest of the world. With that goal, they have no time or money to do the job for which they were elected. Have any particular country in mind, m'dear? Happy Wednesday! :)

what about the waste each day that could be feeding the starving. ill tell you why and that is because the powers that be think (the rich elite) and is even stated in a certain UN document that 2 thirds of the worlds population are superfluous in the bigger scheme.
