    hi,yes depending what you took.steroids speed up the bodies recovery and repair time,also if your food intake is correct the body will put on muscle size in your chosen sport and excercise routine.a few years back in the tour de france pedro delgardo was taking probenicid,which is a diurhettic to help stop water retention.the off shoot of that is your peeing more which gets rid of lactic acid.lactic acid causes impurities in the blood which makes the muscles ache when
    put under heavy load causing your performance to drop.less lactic acid in the muscles means this effect will be longer coming.pedro delgardo won the tour that year even though that drug was being tested,but the drug was band the following week as the results of the testing were late....regards tessa5
