Do you feel more scared to go out alone today than you did a few years ago or do you think theres too much publicity on the bad things that happen today?

I am a little bit scared to go out now days, considering all the people in hawaii drive like A$$#ole's LOL i might get hit a run!

No actually i'm not as scared anymore, when i was a kid there were loads of idiots who used the common up near me to drink, smoke and have sex. They used to walk passed my doors in hoards drinking and swearing. Now i'm the same age as they were then and the same age (or older) than the chavs and pikeys who hang out in my area. They're rougher, but theres much less of them. I've also reached the point where i would rathe rgo out and not care and get killed, than live my whol life in fear.

No I am not scared to go out alone . Most people are just the same as me and if you smile they retaliate. I do not think that violence on the whole has got worse just our awareness of it also the fact that the press turn everything into a horror headline. That is bound to make older people afraid. My Mother did admit to me the other day that walking home in the dark she had been nervous for the first time in her life. So I suppose the answer is yes for some and no for others

Well, I carry pepper spray on my keychain which gives me a small sense of security. I still try to avoid places at night by myself. Walking to my car from my job can be pretty freaky because the parking lot is not very well lit. I figure if someone is out to kill me, they will probably succeed and then I will be dead and I won't have anything to fear anymore.
