  • Pretty weird. Like the whole world is turning black and you are spinning out of control very weak and unable to do anything about it
  • All are correct, but in addition to what it feels like focus on what causes it. Be aware Fainting can happen when not enough oxygen flows through your blood and into your brain. You lose consciousness, or "pass out," for a very brief time -- just a few seconds or minutes. A sudden drop in your blood pressure can cause you to faint. Sometimes your heart rate and blood vessels can't react fast enough when your body's need for oxygen changes. This is very common among older people. It can happen when: You stand up fast. You work or play hard, especially if it's very hot. You begin to breathe too fast (called hyperventilating). You get very upset. Being upset can affect the nerves that control your blood pressure. You're taking medicine for high blood pressure. Coughing, urinating and stretching can also get in the way of the flow of oxygen to the brain and may be a cause of fainting. If you faint once during one of these activities, it's probably not something to worry about. But if it happens more than once, you should tell your doctor about it. If you faint when you turn your head to the side, the bones in your neck may be pinching on one of the blood vessels that leads to your brain. If this happens to you, be sure to tell your doctor about it. A drop in your blood sugar may also cause you to faint. This can happen if you have diabetes, but it may also happen if you don't eat for a long time. Some prescription medicines can cause fainting. Be sure to talk to your doctor if you think your fainting may be related to a medicine you're taking. Alcohol, cocaine and marijuana can also cause fainting. More serious causes of fainting include seizures and problems with the heart or with the blood vessels leading to the brain.
  • It's going to sound odd but I suffer from hypotension (low blood pressure). Because of the faulty distribution of blood in my system, and my physical composition, if too much blood is in my legs I will pass out. For me, it's always been the slow filling in of my vision with what first seem like little colored dots but then turn black. As this is happening, there's generally a rather deafening ringing in my ears going on. And I start to feel like I don't have control over my limbs, almost like they're not there. Then, when I wake up (usually on the floor), I feel really peaceful and like I 'm just waking up from a long nap. Weird. There's really nothing like it.
  • well you feel lightheaded and like your knees are going to just fall to the floor, and u start to see all coloured spots and then your vision starts to go black from the outside to the inside.. then your arms and legs feel all wobbly and the next thing you know u wake up and are on the floor and feel like your floating a bit.
  • Its only happened to me once. I went to the Doc's for a blood test, and when the nurse was taking the blood, it was coming out to fast. It felt HORRIBLE!! I went all cold and clammy. Then just passed out. Its not fun, I dont recommend it. :)
  • Very Scary... happend to me once, at school, in science.. at first i said to my friend i felt sick and dizzy, they my sight went, and apparently i went very white. i then lost my hearing, and could hardly stand, then thats all i remember untill i was in the office waiting for my mum to pick me up from school.. i've bein told my eyes went all bloodshot. But i think the worst part is knowing that i had just fainted infront of all my friends lol
  • It feels like you've died for a moment and then came back to life
  • You're sight gets really fuzzy and things start spinning a little. Then you just black out.
  • For me, the room starts spinning, then I sort of go into a trance like state, when I can hear what is going on for a few seconds, but my vision isn't working, all I see is black. I feel like I am almost having a seizure, but I've been told that I was standing still. Then I don't see of hear anything until I wake up, just a short while later. It was pretty scary.
  • Happened to me just today. At first I suddenly felt weak, pain in the stomach and light headed then my vision gets abit blur, seeing orange dots. I had the uncanny feeling that I was going to faint . Closed my eyes to rest and the next thing I know, I feel fainted on other people in the crowded train. Felt like I was in a deep sleep, slowly waking up when I heard people's voices. It's a terrible feeling.
  • For me I felt like I was going to be sick. I went in to a panic and then as I was running to the bathroom I felt disoriented as if I had just stood up too fast and then the blackness came and I fell to me knees- I came too quickly and was stark white! It took about 20 minutes before I felt normal again.
  • I've fainted lots of times. It is like you are entering a dream, which you are trying to fight, yet you are unable to. Everything starts to spin, and you just see darkness. You are in a dreamlike state which feels like forever. When you wake up you are extremely disoriented, and everything is spinning, it`s like you are coming back from the dead. Then you feel very nauseous, and sometimes you even throw up, and just feel like crying. You are extremely weak for a few minutes and don`t feel like doing anything.
  • I've only blacked out once, for a few seconds. I was already standing up, but I started to get the feeling and vision effects you sometimes get when you stand up too fast. I was already leaning against the wall; I leaned forward and put my hands on my knees for a couple of seconds. Next thing I knew, the woman I'd kind of slid against on my way down to a sitting position was saying "Are you all right? Are you all right?" I felt 80% fine right away, and 100% within a minute or two.
  • i've fainted over 50 times (and i'm only 21). There are different ways a person can faint... but the most common one i've experienced was this: First i get sort of sick feeling to my stomach, then i feel slightly panicked and start getting really warm and develop a cold sweat. I look around for help...i normally try to say "I'm going to faint" then i can't remember anything but i wake up from my last memory of being awake (which is a weird sensation). Then i'm okay :)
  • i had fainted a few times and u just get like a sick feeling in ur stomach then ur vison gets all fuzzy and u feel light headed then everything goes black and a few mins later you'll wake up
