  • Look for isotonic vitamins. They come in powdered form to mix with water and drink. They are ph balanced to be more acceptable to your system. Your body also absorbs a far higher percentage than with pills and much faster as well. My wife and I used them for months last year and I would never buy vitamins in pill form again. They are not cheap, but well worth it. Google "isotonic vitamins" and you'll find many companies that sell them.
  • Great information given by odzihozo, if I may add. Get a physical check up because your body may not be accepting this for an unknown reason, which could be corrected. Talk with your physician see if he agrees with the substance safety label and see what he recommend. I have crushed my regular vitamins so they will go directly to my system, I don't know if that is a good thing to do, so I don't do it often.. smiling.. Good luck....
  • Eat healthful food. To the best of my knowledge, there has never been a study that shows the efficacy of vitamins. If you listen closely to doctors, they might suggest a vitamin as a "safety precaution." But no doctor worth his/ her weight would say it's okay to ditch any particular food category and go with vitamins instead. For example: taking a calcium pill does not = getting two portions of milk each day. It is well known that humans can't digest the vitamins and absorb them the way they can milk.
  • Take vitamins with or after a meal. Taking them on an empty stomach is risky, since many can upset the stomach. Also, ask the place you got them if they should NOT be combined with other vitamins. Also, don't take them all at once. Spread them out the day and early evening. And I would not take any right before bed. Also of course read the side label info and see what it says about taking them and when, how many etc.
  • Try one without iron in it. This is a very common issue with prenatal vitamins, since women in early pregnancy are prone to nausea because of hormones. But some people are just sensitive, and can't take that much iron (the kind they put in vitamins is poorly absorbed, so they add too much to make up for it). Take iron-free vitamins on a full stomach, and see how that works for you.
  • Try a product called Complete: http://www.supplements.awarenesslife.com/index.cfm?action=details&detail=complete
  • I have ulcers an like you most vitamins upset my stomach. I have just recently started taking an isotonic form of both vitamins and antioxidents. My stomach is fine with this form and I have never felt more energetic. I buy them from a woman I know off of her website. They also taste good. You mix the powder with a small amount of water. Here is the website if you are interested. www.marketamerica.com/onlineordering
  • Maybe try taking them at night when you go to bed...
  • You should try the Isotonic Vitamins from Market America call "Isotonix". Dr. Steve Lamm from The View talks about them all the time on the show. I get them from www.mymastore.com and they are great and truely Isotonic.
  • Try Isotonix vitamins...they are amazing. They are in power form. Trust me when I say they are amazing. I could not take pill vitamins either because they made me sick and I was so afraid to take the power (you add water) because I thought it would taste terrible. They are great. I shop for mine at http://www.marketamerica.com/kenandheather/ You can email Heather and Ken for more info...they know a lot about the products and can recommend lots of supplements for a whole list of diseases
