The "Reservations" upon which the casinos are located would be considered as Indian Tribal Land, and not subject to State Laws.
I don't think that it is outlawed here, in the state of Maine.
But voters have said no. It is on the ballot again this year.
Developers want to put in a resort with a casino in the town right next to me.
Not Native American though.
They want to open one on long island(NY) but they wont let em. Which is stupid cause tis their land and they should be allowed to open whatever they want.
I know of Hawaii and Utah has a law that there will be no legalized gambling in the state.
