Why does racism persist in the United States?

people are naturally suspicious of what they are unfamiliar with there are still alot of places in the US where there is very little integration, where the communities are largely black, or white, or asian, etc also, it is not easy to overcome a history of slights, for either side (slighter vs slighted) but we're in a better place than we were 50 yrs ago

Racism is every where in the world. it is just more of a political issue here because every one gets offended over everything and their is an attorney that will sue anyone for anything. The rest of the world is a lot more tolerant and are not so easily offended, unless it is one of those extremest religions.
