Which cell phone service provider has the best coverage on the continent? I plan to live in a motorhome and travel between Canada and all points south. Are there objective websites for comparisons?

I've been through much of the Western US and my Sprint phone has had phenomenal service. I don't know of any objective websites.

Verizon. I travel a fair amount and typically the others that are with me wind up using my phone because it always works without roaming or on extended services. they cost big $$$.I also have AT&T for my iPhone and it finds more dead spots than a grave yard. My business partner has sprint, yes it has good service but more often than not he is on roaming or no signal.

Not sure about this one, but check out Skype. It's more like an internet phone network and can make international calls. Its pretty cheap (and free among skype users i think), but it's not actually a cellphone.

I don't think any one cell phone will work in all places. I live about 30 miles from a major city and have not found any cell phones that will work in my home. They all said I am in there coverage area and have two cell towers within eight miles of where I live. I still can not get cell service in my home. (I went with a VOip service)
