  • Women who seem to think having sex with a bunch of men makes them independant. There's nothing wrong with having sex, but the way it's portrayed in Sex in the City... bleh.
  • Unrealistic women facing modern problems who, some how, happen to find an available guy every time they change their underwear
  • Idiotic superficial sluts about captures it all. Might add some more adjectives too: selfish, self indulgent, mean spirited, shallow...
  • I never saw one episode. So a friend told me the movie was good. So I rented it. It was a waste of my time. Although the message suggests that love is greater than material possessions, at the end,the camera zooms in on the shoes.
  • They're modern, American women. What liberties they may take with relationships and sex, men have been taking for centuries. The show caters to forward thinking women who no longer want to feel pressured to uphold the restrictions of a male dominated society. If they want to enjoy sex, they can. If they don't want to wed and bear children to the first available man who will have them, that is their choice. It is about celebrating the freedoms - and the consequences of such freedoms in a still male dominated world - that women have in the 21st century.
  • I agree. And the show's writers are obviously women who are like those characters, too. They portray these idiotic superficial sluts as being "cool" and "together" - they're imbeciles. On top of it, 2 out of 4 of them are UGLY! Yes UGLY! Kristen Davis is the only really attractive one. And that lesbian redhead can look okay sometimes but c'mon, that ridiculous haircut she had most the time on the show - could it be any less attractive?
  • They are amazing. The end.
  • Love them. I think they're brilliant. They like sex. They're independent. They have careers. They didn't rush into the marriage and kids thing, because you don't have to. They're fabulous. And styled amazingly well.
  • I'll go with the latter, the show was actually pretty amusing.
  • It's a well-written show. They aren't REAL!
  • Well written TV Show spawning overly schmaltzy waste of time movie.
  • I'm not going to resort to name calling, but I will say, these women didn't give any fruitful advice to dating in my opinion. The lack of boundaries and impulse control made them look desperate. If they are the example of a modern day woman then continue to call me old fashioned. It's a name I can live with and respect.
  • ive only ever watched about 10 minutes of it, not my kind of entertainment
  • The former.
  • *says in a low tone of voice* ...sluts... IM SORRY ! I hate that show , man I just hate it with the passion of a thousand burning suns !!!. It's so superficial , everything has to be a designer this and designer that ! If they haven't noticed the whole world is in crisis and they are promoting superficiality and leading on young women to be like them also leading on men to think that women are like that . aaahHhhhhhh! it makes me want to scream with rage! and the blond one with curls( I love her husband)congrats on having an awesome husband =/
