I have read that the main coone cat does not enjoy being held/cuddling. to what extent this is true?

i had a 23 pounder a Maine Coon and that is all he lived for was to be held and he could be a huge pest if you didn't hold him when he insisted. I think that is really a myth from my experience he was exactly the opposite.
