  • Ultram® (tramadol hydrochloride) Tablets ULTRAM® (tramadol hydrochloride tablets) is a centrally acting analgesic. The chemical name for tramadol hydrochloride is (±)cis-2-[(dimethylamino)methyl]-1-(3-methoxyphenyl) cyclohexanol hydrochloride http://www.rxlist.com/ultram-drug.htm It is a pain killer and can be habit forming. So yes can show up(so answer is true) but can be a yes/no also. I didn't mean to come across like it was a bad drug etc. just stateing facts. And as you can see the asnwer can be yes and no. There are a lot of factors that need to be assessed when asking this question. How much tramadol was taken, time frames, body weight, body size, activity level... Here is one estimate for you...Tramadol is an opioid (I bet you knew that though) and it increases creatinine levels in the blood causing them to be filtered into the urine by the kidneys. Creatinine is the waste product of muscle usage and is proportional to muscle mass. The drug also decreases Hemoglobin levels (RBC) in the blood which affects the composition of the urine. On average these particular components are recycled in the body every 4 months. This would be a worse case scenario. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- While tramadol (Ultram) works on opiate receptor sites in the brain, it's not actually an opiate. Tramadol doesn't show up as an opiate in a standard urine drug screen (i.e., a pre-employment drug screen for drugs of abuse). If the drug screen tests specifically for tramadol, it will show up in your urine for approximately three days after your last dose.
  • I JUST passed the 5 panel drug test while taking Tramadol. I was very nervous. My doctor had given me a script to help me wean off Vicodin. Well, I ran out so I ordered a bottle from the internet. I was taking about 6 daily when I passed the test just yesterday. ******I did some research and I know that if you take a Healthcare Professionals Drug Screen, they DO test for Tramadol. It is fast becoming one of the most addictive drugs on the market because it's NOT a controlled substance. But, the 5 panel does not test for Tramadol to date. However, Tramadol is under review by the FDA and may soon become a controlled substance. And once it is considered a controlled substance, they will test for it!!! PLEASE be careful with this drug. One night, I had a seizure and was rushed to the hospital. A friend of mine had TWO seizures within a month while taking this medication. After having my seizure and knowing that my friend had two, I STILL kept taking it in large doses. I don't want to lecture anyone but please know this is HIGHLY addictive. I’m in the process of weaning my body and I’m down to 3 per day. By Monday, I should be off these things for good. I will never mess with this stuff again!!!!!!!! But, my 5 panel test (OPI, COC, THC, PCP, METH/AM.) tested for the below drugs. • Amphetamines (including Methamphetamine, "Crystal Meth") • Cannabinoids (THC, Marijuana) • Cocaine • Opiates (Codeine, Morphine, Heroin) • Phencyclidine (PCP) In most cases, the 5 panel test doesn’t test for Oxycodone, Vidcodin. But, more and more places are including Oxy, Vic, etc. in the 5 panel tests because abuses of controlled substances are on the rise. The 7, 9, 10, and 12 panel drug screens do test for Oxycodone, Vidcodin, Loratab, Lorcet, etc. There is a specific test for Tramadol which they use if you are in the Healthcare industry. Which test they perform really depends on the job you are applying for and which screening facility you get tested at. Do your research online. Most facilities outline the screening process. Please know that I’m not encouraging anyone to fraudulently pass a drug test nor am I judging anyone. Opiate addiction is tough to break. I know; I have been fighting it for years off and on. The best thing you can do is get help. I just want you to have the same information I had so you can make the best decision for yourself. As a struggling addict, I’m begging everyone to stay AWAY from Tramadol!!!!!!! It is dangerous. Trust me.
