Only if Australia does not consider itself part of the world economy. Your call. ;-) (I know that Russia wishes it wasn't at the moment. It will probably default on it credit obligations today.)

Only reason I asked is that theres loadsa articles on reports in the news that people are trying to emmigrate to Australia because they havent been effected. Many people here in the UK are even exchanging the pound for US$ which in turn is helping the Australian economy. Dunno how much of it is true tho. Thanks for answering peeps, and if anyone else has any views/comments, id like to hear them.
