i know about this terrible disease firsthand, my grandmother died of alzhiemers. it isnt in stages it is just a gradual decline in mental ability, at first it seems almost funny but then you realize it is serious. my grammy couldnt remeber where her glasses were or if she had her teeth in, it got worse where you would have to tell her4 who you were in the morning and she almost acted like she was just kidding with you and yo uknew she wasnt then the old days stories fade, and before death they just are like in a daze all the time. my mother takes care of an man with AZh and he hit her in the face the other day when she was trying to change him, he has declined bad lately since i saw hm last it truly is one of the worst things you could live through to see loved ones just drift on to their death right in front of your eyes.
