Am almost nearing level 60 and not an expert in a category. Is that bad?

Not a bad thing as what this site sees as expert is nothing more than a popular vote of points. Trust me it is not all what it may seem. I have been down-rated just so someone could lower my rating in a category and have a expert title for themselves.

I'm level 62 and I've never been an expert in anything... I don't see why that should be a bad thing...

I think that's pretty lucky. The categories that I am considered to be an expert in are pretty weird.

It is not bad. It suggests that you don't concentrate on a few particular categories. Why not? At the moment, I have just reached level 71 and am the expert in only 3 categories.

It's not bad. It can mean you ask more questions than you answer or that you are busy in many categories or just not been around long enough for any to catch up with you.
