Christmas Eve. On Christmas Eve, the vigil of a great religious feast, I attend a beautiful Eucharist. That is the highlight of my Christmas. New Year's Eve is not a particularly special event. It's a normal day (even a workday if during the week. I don't care for parties, so it's a normal evening as well. I don't even bother to stay up past my regular bedtime (about 11 p.m.)

I prefer Christmas Eve because of the gathering of family while remembering the birth of Jesus Christ.
