  • If the computer detects excessive emissions, nonstandard oxygen levels, or a host of other possibilities, it'll light up. You'll need a code reader or you'll have to let a mechanic read it for you. Then you can determine how to fix the problem.
  • The sensors have sensored something is not right in your engine circuit. I would suggest you go to your nearest Volvo's service centre and have it checked if the car is still in normal running condition. If you feel something is not right i.e. the engine is rough, then have it tow to the service centre. If you car is a bit older (>5 yrs), sometimes the sensors do not work properly and it will give your car's computer wrong info. Just to be safe, go to Volvo and have it inspect.
