How do you repair a GFI protected electrical outlet? I don't have that many Christmas lights up, yet every time I push the reset button, it pops out again and the lights go dead. All the fuses in my box seem OK. Any ideas?

A GFI outlet is in place to detect a ground fault (short circuit) if the button pops every time it is reset, you have a short circuit, likely due to water, in the lighting. The problem is what needs fixing, not the GFI.

try plugging in the strings of lights one at a time and see which one is causing your problem, either get rid of that one or try to see what is wrong with it

Hey you must call a professional, because it is looking like a big problem in the circuit board!
