You're reading How do you repair a GFI protected electrical outlet? I don't have that many Christmas lights up, yet every time I push the reset button, it pops out again and the lights go dead. All the fuses in my box seem OK. Any ideas?

Interesting. Thanks.

A GFI circuit usually trips whenever moisture (even vapor)is present. You don't say whether this is outdoor lighting.

If there is not a vapor problem, it is possible that the GFI mechanical parts have worn, there is really nothing to fix, just replace the outlet.

Yeah, it is outdoor lighting. I'm certain it's a moisture problem. Thanks for the help.
