  • Moderation means the questions/answers that you flag. For instance, if you flag a question spam/offensive, and they think it is, you will get points. It is the box that says 'flag this question or answer.
  • it has to do with the actions you take with you "flag" a question or an answer, I don't know who the rate is assigned but it's the outcome of you acting as a moderator on AB.
  • At the top of this question and the bottom of each answer there is a drop-down box which says "Flag this answer". With this feature, for example, you can mark an answer as spam. You get points for moderating AB.

  • Those who flag and those who review flags. All of us have the ability to be moderators since we can all flag material. Staff moderators review the flags that users submit.
  • For some people, it's choosing to deem something as "nonsense", "spam/offensive", or "duplicate", when these measures are deserved. This helps AB to boast its proud reputation as a clean website. Unfortunately, for others, it only means an easy five points. <shakes head>

  • Up in the bottom right corner of the question is a "flag this question" and an arrow pointing down. When you click on that it will give you the options of Duplicate Nonsense spam/offensive Wrong category when you click on Duplicate it will give you a list of other questions that may be similar and you choose from that list. Clicking on Wrong Category will let you pick which category you think it belongs in. You get 5 points for each correct moderation, although don't expect it to show up right away, it can sometimes take a day or two. Hope this helps Did you have a fantastic New Years Eve?

  • You get moderation points when you flag something and a moderator acts on what you flagged. It's not good or bad, it just means you don't flag anything.
  • Moderation, when done correctly, is a way of keeping the site neat and organized. Questions can be flagged when they're duplicates, if they make no sense, if they're spam or offensive. They can also be re-categorized if they're put in the wrong place. Answers can be flagged if they're nonsense, spam or offensive. These flags go to staff and if they're accepted five points per flag is awarded. I believe the only exception to getting the five points is when a spammer's account is totally nuked.
  • Go to this mans profile. Sorry I couldn't pin point it exactly, but good info. http://www.answerbag.com/profile/?id=174918

  • 1) To help Answerbag stay a great site, you can participate in the moderation of the site by flagging questions and answers. Inside each question or answer there is a drop down field where you can choose some kind of flagging. The Answerbag Staff, helped by the Community Leaders, reviews all the flags and decides if the flag is accepted or rejected. If your flagging is accepted, you get 5 moderation points, and they are also added to your point total. If your flagging is rejected, your "+ %" percentage in moderation sinks. 2) In the last few weeks, users have been complaining that those flagging points have not always been given. Notice that your "+ %" percentage in moderation sinks after a flagging as long as it has not been reviewed by the Staff, and that this could sometimes take time. There is also a lot of controversy about the validity of some rejections.
