I cannot tell you specifically, due to contractual agreements, but it is someone you all know and who you would be very surprised to know was the actual "caveman." He is awfully good, isn't he? ;)

In the commercial with the therapist, his mannerisms make think of Jim Carrey.

Yes indeed.....one of the beloved cavemen is Jeffrey Daniel Phillips.....I am finding that his picture is VERY hard to find on the web.....so-where did the rumor start that the actor was Val Kilmer.....I have been a voiceover and commercial actor since I was a kid and I must say that I have never been more entertained lately than by some of these hilarious commericials out there...I am even in one of them!

I don't know but it's about time we start giving our ancestors the respect they deserve. What a life that must of been. Trying to get close to your mate then all of a sudden she sees those teeth and all hell breaks loose. could of used some tooth brushes too.

The one in the restaurant who says he isn't very hungry is Richard Thomas, who most people know as Jon-Boy from The Waltons. He was on some late night cable tv talk show several months back and talked about how much fun he had doing the commercial, and they played the clip of his part in that commercial. I never would have guessed it right off, but after I heard him say it was him, then watched the commercial again, I now see how obvious it is... the same look in his eyes and forehead, and the voice is absolutely a dead giveaway now! Richard Thomas's voice is very recognizable. How could I have missed it the first times I saw that commercial!? /slaps forehead

I don't know, but I did hear they are working on a sitcom starring the cavemen for next season. Seems to me this has the potential to be funny. The commercials are well done and funny.

For some reason this has been bothering me so I just had to go look it up. The two original cavemen are played by actors Jeff Daniel Phillips and Ben Weber. Whoever the marketing agency for Geico is they are good. Between the Gecko, the Cavemen and the celebrities they make some very attention grabbing commercials.

Listen Up! John Lehr, "Not Cool", sound guy, and "Therapy". Ben Weber, "Roast Duck with the Mango Salsa". AND THE ONE WE ALL ARE DYING TO KNOW..... Jeff D. Phillips as our beloved "Airport" caveman! I've been searching the web for 2 hrs. for that information. It was almost worth it. Why almost? Because if there is a pic of Jeff, I sure can't find it!! ARGH!

All I can say about this is...I watched the 2007 DVD "Zodiac" last night. In scene 13 (but just before scene 14 starts) there's a part in the movie where the two investigators say, "Here comes every lunatic in California". The scene continues and shows four different 'lunatics'. The fourth lunatic was the one that really caught my eye. I SWORE it was the Geico caveman! The voice, the mannerisms, everything. So I watched the credits and they made NO mention of this actor. I went onto IMDB, checking their credits, to no avail either. Then I found the Answerbag and I'm hoping someone can either confirm or deny my hunch. Thanks.
