I am the co-buyer on a vehicle with my ex-boyfriend. he stop making payments after a year. I continued making the payments over the next four years registration and insurance included. title in my name. does he have rights to the car. ny state

    Talk to the Department of Motor Vehicles to make sure he hasn't changed the ownership, and get a lawyer. If necessary, call the police, but DO NOT report the vehicle stolen, tell them he has YOUR vehicle and you want it returned to you. You do have the paperwork, don't you?
