Certainly not my attitude, because I hate it.

Sure a little, but music does not make poeple do things. I hate that view.

The title is missing the letter C at the front! I loved hip hop in the early days because it articulated anger and frustration at social problems or injustice. (E.g. Grandmaster Flash and melee Mel, later Run DMC ETC).

All music has the potential of shaping attitudes. That's why we love it so much. Music puts a sensible sound to things we often cannot express with words. At the same time, the attitude with which we come to a song can have an effect on what we take away from it. Sometimes, I'll listen to a song when I'm hyper, and I'm hearing the beat and the rhythm of the words being sung. I take away a lift to an already upbeat demeanor. Yet, if I come to that same song when I'm feeling contemplative, I'll note the strings in the background or the melancholy of the minor chords or the melody. I might be inspired to write a poem. So, if you're insinuating that the violent or sexual nature of a lot of rap music is to blame for social problems; you must take into account that, while music cann shape attitudes, they cannot create them out of thin air. The attitudes were there all along - the music just brought them into the limelight.
