I think he would be getting less attention, as would Sarah Palin if she wasn't an attractive lady. He would probably get more votes because racism is still a reality.

The only group that has enjoyed consistent and disproportionate representation in the Presidential and other political office/s are “White Men” . You could be a racist (KKK) , slave-owner, have mixed race children, and sell your own children , and not be barred from any public office or the Presidency if your are (were) White. Can’t really say the same thing if you came from most/any other ethnic groups, And no other group has enjoyed the disproportionate advantages in political representation . Most other groups don’t even get representation that equals their percentage of the population. So I would have that say there is only one ethnic-gender group that has enjoyed consistent benefits. I would also venture an wild guess , and say the same "entitled" group is most likely to ask if anybody else is getting special treatment ...

No, if Barack Obama were white Hillary Clinton would be the Democrat Party candidate. The reason are multiple, and I don't think it's a positive statement for the nation but it's the truth. This has nothing to due with my political ideology, it's just a fact.

Yes, but it would be hard to imagine Obama as anything other than what he is. It's his heritage and his struggle for sense of self that has made him the public servant he is today. If you haven't, you should read his books. He is an amazing person.

I think he did get a lot of press because of being part African American, some was negative, some was positive. However, overall I think he gets so much press because he is a very powerful public speaker, he is smart, very genuine and down to earth. He is a self-made man, eloquent, charismatic, sincere, compassionate and reasoned.
