  • My guess is they feel fine. If they minded it, they could find another job - good doctors are in large demand. As per who gave them the right to be god, my guess is it was their medical school.
  • It doesn't bother them or they wouldn't do it. They have convinced themselves, just like the women who have the abortion, that it's just a glob of cells, which isn't living and has no rights. That is how they justify it. Probably doesn't even cross their mind that their children were once those "globs of cells".
  • Not god...physician...it's a business...like removing a wart
  • you re trying to simplify something very complicated.
  • Well I think we know your position on the matter. You could probably get a job writing leading questions for biased surveys since you probably don't want to be an abortion doctor
  • Putting this in birthdays is beyond horrible. : But to answer your question, doctors are trained to stay emotionally unattached. Every doctor runs the possibility of having people of every age die on them. If you get emotionally attached it does your patients no good and it will only drive the doctor insane.
  • I simply ask how the doctor must feel or think? ... There is nothing complicated about > should I do it or not? ... There are many empty loving homes waiting for babies Theres are not the minds of good people ... To take life without concience when they themselves were gifted theirs, takes a heartless soul to do so indeed ... If one who appreciates their own life stops for a second, and says > what if I had been aborted? look at the wonder I would have been cheated ... I would clean toilets before killing other babies to feed my own ... 'No man' has the right to play God, no matter the business ... There is always alternatives to death. It's easy to be pro abortion when you are past that point and now living the life they did not take ... Yet its selfish not to consider the same joy for those who have just begun. (No offense intended by your choice ... this is my opinion to love and live life as I see it) Thankyou
  • He is probably as desensitized to human emotion as a Priest, a Minister or Clergyman of a Church who takes in billions of dollars every year, tax-free I might add, from people who are often barely able to feed themselves due to poverty and on the premise that if they do not tithe to their Church, they may face the doom of Hell. Why? To feed their own families, pay their own bills, and generally, just to line their own pockets. You think it sick that a physician will perform a surgical procedure on a patient who not only demands it, but is paying for it? Then you must also think it's sick for a Church Official to take money from impoverished parishoners. The outcome is the same, to me. Anything to make a buck! That's what makes the world go round, my friend. Grow up.
  • They don't do it for the income and they do it despite the grief they get from the prolife community. They do it because they feel a woman has the right to control when she will have children and if she chooses abortion it should be a safe one. If they just worked as obgyn's they would make a hell of lot more money. They are not playing god. And since you brought up god he/she allows 1/3 of all pregnancies to abort, ussually when they are just a clump of cells. That is if you believe god has a hand in everything, then god is the biggest mass murderer ever. How is that for hyperbole!
  • I would suspect that the doctor doesn't feel much of anything on the subject. To him, it is just a medical procedure that he provides. He doesn't think about 'God' or anything else.. he just does his job and collects his paycheck every 2 weeks.
  • the docter thinks abot the money plus its a womans choice
  • I understand how much you care about this subject, but aren't you setting yourself up as judge and jury when it comes to this subject? Who gave you the license to become God? Shouldn't this be between the woman, her doctor and her God? I do not support abortion, but I would never feel that I have the right to criticize what must be a terrible choice to make.
  • Women have abortions for many different reasons. Doctors are there to perform a service. Doctors do care. That healthy fetus is just that a fetus. I'm wondering how those same doctors that perform abortions must feel when a healthy baby is brought to the Emergency Department after being beaten or disposed of in a toilet or dumpster by a troubled parent. How would you feel?
  • One could not know what another man thinks, unless that man chooses to share his thoughts and i imagine such thoughts would be sad indeed. I do not think anyone could happily perform mass slaughter of human life for nothing more than the purpose of feeding his own child, though he may receive, as others do, a payment for his service. Perhaps it saddens his heart and soul in ways we do not know and perhaps he hopes his skill and tools will ensure that two lives are not lost through an abortion which could otherwise be performed in unsanitary conditions, by those who lack knowledge on how to perform it. The law allows an abortion to occur every minute of the day and it is sad indeed to think it could be avoided in most cases, simply by application of consideration. ~ I know and understand the heartache you feel and i wish you peace my friend (((Kindest Hugs)))
  • How dare you? Unless you have personal knowledge of each and every woman's situation, you have no right to sit in judgement. If you really believe that abortion is against God's will, then let God deal with it. He doesn't need anyone's help.
  • The doctor probably feels like any other killer for hire.
  • He probably feels that he is doing a legal service that exists so that women will not have to die, butchered, in back alley abortion clinics. He may not even agree with the choice that these women are making but respects that it is their choice. He isn't being god. He is being a human who doesn't withhold help in order to force the woman to do as he wishes. You could use your same logic to say how must a solider in war feel. He is doing his "job" to support his family and yet he is having to kill someone else's family member. Is the solider being god? Or is he performing a what he feels is a necessary ,albeit, miserable task?
  • Leave "God" out of the equation. What has happened is that SOCIETY has given two groups of people the legal right to kill... abortionists and mothers. I'm sure that these people have a conscience about what they do but they put their conscience aside. They rationalize the killing for whatever reasons they may have. It does not matter. It's still the act of killing an unborn baby. The Supreme Court re-defined an unborn human to take away it's rights is all. Who's next?
  • i know youre into the words/thoughts of the Dali Lama (sp)! what would his thoughts be on this any idea?
  • To put it simply, they don't care. They either don't consider unborn children as human beings. Or, they are OK with killing human beings as long as they are being paid for it.
  • God does not exist and therefore has no relevance. He is doing his job and I beleive if he has any moral objections to abortion then he can choose not to perform them. I imagine it is the same for those people who have the job of executioner or the job of being a solider or any number of jobs that woudl require the taking of a life.
  • I would imagine it's exactly the same way a soldier feels when he aims his gun at an innocent mother and children and shoots them dead so that he can make happy the corporations he's there to serve Who do you think gave him the license to be god? The corporations he works for, perhaps? Should we start calling EXXON, Halliburton, Blackwater and Co. god now?
  • he probably feels fantastic!!! I'm guessing the department of deity licensing
  • I dont know. Thats on him, not me... Good luck dealing with the rest of your life and all the regrets. oh wait...."They dont feel regret" they think they are helping the woman out. Really?
  • The price we pay for CONVENIENCE............ :(
  • The safest place for a baby to ever be, should be inside it's mother's womb. It was put there to be completely protected while it's organs and body are formed. A mother is by nature the one the baby should be able to count on the most for protection and nurturing. It's natures way. And I believe in God, so I believe there's a higher moral law governing how nature is played out. A mother actually has to have someone invade her body, usually a stranger, by going inside of her to kill her baby and then remove it. It is the sickest thing I can think of. Many mothers have miscarriages and are devastated by the loss. It is my opinion that an abortion should be the last resort and only to save the mothers life. Let's get real people, there is much more involved here than just a woman's right to do what she wants with her own body. That right doesn't trump another persons right to live. The right of a baby should take precedence over another persons inconvenience. The doctor must have no conscience and either doesn't believe in God or places himself in a higher moral position. Remember, the baby grows inside it's mother for maximum protection while the life force is forming the body. The mother's ultimate duty is to protect that baby, and a father's ultimate duty is to protect both the mother and the baby. God help our society to wake up.
  • a job's a job. & i'm pretty sure medical school gave them that license. if he has kids at home, i don't think he worries about it because he didn't have to abort them.
  • Playing God is an inaccurate analogy, considering that most religions believe their god to be judge, jury and executioner. Seeing as how the abortion doctor doesn't decide who gets an abortion, it's more like they're playing genie by granting someone's wish.
  • Surely as a Christian you believe that each of us is unique. Every doctor who performs an abortion feels the way he or she does about it. Which is not going to be identical to how you feel about it. . You began by asking how they feel, defined how they would have to look at abortion and ended with a condemnation. Your last question kind of aborted your first one.
  • For one who has recieved life to enjoy, as has or does the doctor, then who be he or she to take that same right of life from another innocent being who has done no wrong? ... You need to think how much you love your life before being pro abortion and supporting the killing of another innocent life ... Even by pro abortions strongest argument ... the rape! It was not the living soul of that innocent baby who commited any wrong doing ... To live with the baby of a rapist would surely be hard ... but to kill an innocent life, should be much harder to live with ... It may be easy to escape a coscience to allow or support abortion when you yourself ... have or are enjoying your life ... but sooner or later that conscience will be stronger to regret that decision ... what if your parents and the butcher of a doctor had aborted you? Who's to say that either one of those aborted souls was not the one who would or could have been able to begin a positive road to a world peace process or more? What if the likes of Leonardo Da Vinci, Albert Einstein or Madam Marie Curie were aborted? By aborting one single baby ... how many generations have they prevented from that persons being. It's a very sad choice ... and an extremely unjust act by those enjoying life. Peace
  • Don't hold back, tell us how you really feel. Three abortion providers have been shot to death, so don't tell me about this license to be God stuff. And here you all are right back at it again as though nothing had happened. Do you not see how much hate you're bringing into the world? You dehumanize those who disagree with you and then stand in amazement (and denial) when some loony acts on this hate fest. I think that the people who are acting like God are people like you. You pass judgment on others. Stop to think for a moment. What does "All Powerful" mean exactly? Could it possibly be that God is in charge here and the best thing you could do is get out of His way? Who are you to judge His will?
  • I dont condemn those who make that decision to abort life ... they themselves will live with that choice later in life ... But I do greatly oppose the laws and those doctors who support killing the innocent for money, when they live to appreciate and enjoy a life themselves ... I usually find most who argue this point are those who live with the guilt of making or supporting that choice to abort ... Yet deep down inside they themselves know it is wrong. I mean no offense to anyone ... this is simply my belief and understanding only ... that which I am completely entitled to have. I have my own regrets ... as those will surely have theirs. Peace
  • They don't care. They are busy cashing the checks.
  • Why do I ask? ... because I have endured the guilt of my actions to cause death by a selfish decision to suit me only ... please read to understand ... http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/6978387
  • God gave us the right when he gave us our brains.
  • Excuse me? The doctor obviously doesn't have the same views as you, so I'm sure he is only concerned of the health of the woman. Don't give me that sappy aborting a live person bullshit. i don't believe the baby has counscious thought. NOT a live person. bring on the downrates.
  • If you really want to know how a doctor feels, then you must ask a doctor. Speculation from the rest of us will not give you an answer to your question, and it's unlikely to put your mind at ease because you'll get responses from both sides of the debate. I hope you succeed in resolving your guilt.
  • Greed. Insensitivity. Inhumanity.
  • First not all doctors are men, second a fetus becomes a life when its born, third where I come from people become doctors to help people, not for the money. Finally, if God made man. God did.
  • He's thinking "cha-ching!"
  • you care about those babies right? What are u going to do about it? Just talk, or are u going to step up and help raise the child urself. Ah so u do realise ur own limitations, why can't u sympathise with other ppls limitations? Adoption is limited too. Look at the statistics how many foetuses were aborted last year, do u think that the adoption system could cope with that many children a year? I very much doubt it when in fact my GP can't cope with 200 ppl in it's practice. Food for thought.... Animal activists feel so passionate about the animals they go out of their way to help protect endangered species. What to pro life activists do? Between killing doctors (ironic since they care so much about LIFE) they waste endless hours campaigning to deaf ears since those parents have to feed, clothe and look after their children.
