  • it works out the biceps
  • I would think pull ups would help your Biceps, and forearms, some of your back and shoulder muscles and maybe your Pectorials.
  • depending on the position of your hands and how far apart they are from eachother it changes. if your hands are closer together it works mostly your biceps and for arms, slightly working your back/shoulders. the further apart your hands are the harder your pull ups get putting more work into your back and shoulders mostly, and slightly on your pecs
  • lats, trunk, back....pull ups make the body look sooooo good. wish I could do one.
  • It also works out a muscle in your chest.
  • Pull ups aid in developing a "V shape" taper on the body. The major muscle targeted in a pull-up is the latissimis dorsi muscle in the back. Other muscles are used, and because of this, the exercise is known as a compound exercise. Saying that, the main targets of the pull up, are the lats.
