Nope.. I tend to think more negative of those who whine and complain about other's spelling. The net is a great tool to help people improve their spelling/grammar. Let them learn without putting them down. They do not need self-righteous people shoving their inadequacies down their throats.
-
Yes, mine. But I admit and seek help all the time.
-
No, but it does give the impression.
-
No. But it makes it difficult for them to communicate how intelligent they really are. It is a learned skill.
-
Yes i think it can make them look stupid as most clever people learn how to speak properly, however i have the same problem with my spelling, it makes me look really stupid when i'm actually not.
-
A lot of dyslexic people are VERY intelligent and they find it difficult to read, write or spell .. Regrettably it is common practise for others to think that ebonics make the man. In some cases of course they do. If your grammar is poor because of lack of learning try to take lessons that will help you improve. There are many adult classes that will help and nobody will laugh or make you feel inadequate.
-
I don't think lack of any type of education means that a person is stupid. Knowledge & skills are different to intelligence. A stupid person is a person who cannot be taught new skills, not a person without skills.
-
I do not think it makes them stupid. Some people speak very well but have a hard time when it comes to writing things down. My only suggestion would be to proof read something and see if it makes sense to you before you post it. And never try to post something when you are in a hurry as that will just lead to more mistakes. (also posting when you are angry, tired, or medicated can make your posts confusing to others as they might not be as well written as you would have liked them to be).
-
nope. it depends. when they use a lot of the teenybopper talk, yes, i do. i think they're trying to be "cool," and i just think that people like that are inherently dumb. if you're typing typos, etc, no, i don't judge that on social networking sites. ppl type fast and don't think about that stuff online. it's acceptable. i don't judge them. at work, i don't type like this. i'd be fired.
-
Not really. The way a person writes does not always reveal how a person acts or thinks in real life. It's like math. Some people are lousy at it, but they are still very smart in other respects.
-
NO, AN THERE COULD BE A LOGICAL REASON BEHIND IT. NOT ALL COUNTRIES ARE UP TO PAR.
-
well it depends. if behind the keyboard is a British or an American person sitting, then I would say "oh YES BIG TIME" lol but if someone who his/her first language is not English then I would say NO
-
Not necessarily. It could be that they are just under educated or just don't care enough to try.
-
No, not at all...well that's only one person's opinion. :o)
-
No!
-
Not at all. Having a bad grammar does not make you stupid. But being stupid could result in you having a bad grammar, because you would not be able to learn a better grammar. For this reason, having a bad grammar could make some people think you are stupid, even if it is not the case. Actually, there could be various reasons why intelligent people could have a bad grammar.
-
Not stupid. Possibly uneducated. And it does make communicating difficult.
-
I njoo undertand ? I no tink sew.
-
No, Forest...Remember? Life is like a box of chocolates! :-)
-
It's a pretty good indication of what you'll find on the other end
-
Not extremely stupid, but I wouldn't say they were a scholar either.
-
No it does not make them a stupid person in real life. I know that if a school does not have a excellent english program structured properly then students do not learn proper english nor proper grammer, it does not mean that they are stupid in real life. I hope this helps you out.

stu·pid (stpd, sty-) adj. stu·pid·er, stu·pid·est 1. Slow to learn or understand; obtuse. 2. Tending to make poor decisions or careless mistakes. 3.
