i am guessing of course but i think i know the answer to your dilemna , unless you are having the worst luck in history with bad control modules , i would guess you need to check the fuel pump , it makes sense that you are having trouble with what is called vapor lock , the pump is weak so it can''t by pass the pressure to fill the carb back up after it runs dry , but after sitting it fills up and will run again for about 20 to 35, 40 miles and the pump gets hot and weak again

You're reading 1989 ford f 150 dies after running for a few trips to town 30-50 miles aprox. i have bought 4 ignition control modules, which then it will start again after replacing the module. it is a 5.0L fuel injected engine. can anyone help?
