probably but we see this every election year, they drop prices and put a few band-aids on some major problems until after the elections and then everything goes back into the crapper again.
-
Look at it this way: as the price of something goes up consumption goes down. With gas hitting all time highs, people are conserving and finding alternate transportation. Plus, there are more attempts at finding alternative fuel sources. The people who sell this product know this, so they lower the price. Then consumption will go up again. When consumption goes up, they raise the prices again..... get the picture?

ahh...enjoy it will only lasts, one year at most.Hyper-infalationary depression should set in and prices will be unfathomable.
-
It might, for a while. People will hit the roads for long vacation trips again (long postponed), but maybe it won't last long. There are other economics problems that will keep most from spending too much on gas. Keithold, in the US, many people are separated from "home" and family by hundreds and thousands of miles. The holidays are coming up and many have not had family reunions for two or more years. Yes, there will be much more traveling if the prices come down enough. But, it is a natural and expected thing. It does not mean we will keep "guzzling gas".
-
Oh maybe. But with the way the economy is everywhere, you'll be poor in other areas soon enough.
-
Cheap gas? $3.19 yesterday!! That's not cheap. Back under $2.00 would be kind of cheap! Won't be guzzling any gas here!!
-
Maybe a little but the economy as a whole is a mess. People's confidence is not high so they aren't likely to start spending like crazy.
-
It would but, because of the economy, not many people want to have big suv's now,so no.
-
I think it will or people will go crazy at the pump thinking the prices may not get low again.
