I'm pretty open with salad dressing. I really like different kinds and it depends completely on what I am in the mood for at the time. I like ranch, garlic, peppercorn, and parmesan when I want something creamy and I like Sun-dried tomato, red wine, and balsamic when I am in the mood for a vinaigrette.

I like changing up if the salads are different. ANd it may depend on what the rest of the meal is like. If I'm having an Asian type of grilled meat later, a Sesame Lime dressing might be nice. At restaurants I tend to choose blue cheese or ranch, possible Italian at an Italian restaurant.

Mix the following wet ingredients ... 40% Cold pressed extra virgin olive oil 40% Fine rice wine vinegar 15% Concentrated lemon juice 05% Tomato paste ... add some dry spices ... onion powder garlic powder parsley flakes ... and during hot summers, add some hot peppers ... or, during cold winters, add some powdered ginseng tea mix and some ginger ... put it all in a bottle, seal it tightly, shake well to mix, then pour onto your veggie salad ... (not for FRUIT salads) ...

It depends on my mood or where I am. Certain restaurants have a particular dressing that I prefer there. If I'm at home, my homemade Thousand Island or homemade French. Bob Evans: Colonial House. Mugsy's: French. Oliver Garden: Obviously no choice other than Italian.
