  • The only times I have spoke in public somewhat have been at school. And other times maybe just 10-30 people. Not anything that I would be proud of. Those weren't really speeches either. Mainly reading. I would like to because: -I think it would, for me, going outside my comfort zone. It might be exciting. -It would get my point or whatever I am talking about across by me. I wouldn't want to because: -I would be scared to death. --because of that, I would probably stutter or make a fool of myself. -I am shy, and it would be hard. There ya go!
  • I have spoken in public, and to the media. It was kinda scary but exciting. Talking is something I do best LOL
  • Good answer. More later.
  • no i never have and it would be my worst nightmare. i just havnt got enough confidence to stand up in front of a large group of people and speak.
  • I have spoken in public, in front of a group of people in an assosication that I was invited to attend. It was a bit scary, but I do not mind, and can be OK if I can raise a laugh in the first few moments. All other speking has been in relation to Uni.
  • I have done speeches at school and twice I spoke to nursing students at my psychologists office. I like speaking now but the first time I did it was horrible. As soon as I finished my speech I walked out of the room and started crying.
  • Yes i have spoken as a public speaker, i think my largest audience was around 400 people. In a prior job i had i did a lot of presentations. Trust me, you get better the more often you do it.
  • I've spoken to small groups and groups of 200+ at various times. I've given short speeches and introductions at state and county fair crowds at rodeos and music events. It's a real rush to do, and I get butterflies each time...part of the thrill. In one respect, I speak in public many times each and every day sometimes it's to a few hundred thousand at a time. I'm a DJ at a popular radio station. I guess that I'm addicted to it. swabby
  • Think "PANIC ATTACK." I freak out during "silent prayer" in public. I just know someday someone will spontaneously ask me to pray in public. When they did, I just froze, shook my head violently, and said "No thanks." It hasn't happened since.
  • Yes I have, I have spoke before lots of people, it wasn't always easy, I had anxiety about it just like everyone else, but you learn to overcome it after a few times, it gets easier the more you do it.
  • All the time! Its normal to get nervious but the idea is not to let your nerviousness control you and to adequatly prep. I'm surprised that some people have done it so little.
  • only once...at my best friends party when she moved to austrailia it was hard because i was looking at everybody crying and it was hard to talk about my memories with her without crying
  • I hate speaking in public. I get nevous and start to have panic attacks.
  • No, I have an accent that sticks out like a sore thumb here in Pasadena. I prefer to avaid public speaking anyway.
  • I've had to do it quite a bit for work. Plus, over the years I have participated in writing groups off and on where we were almost always expected to share our work. Also, I have had the opportunity to be a featured guest at a few poetry salons. It can be scary, especially when sharing such personal things as my writing. Luckily, the public speaking that I did for work was fairly basic information, so that made the other stuff, which came later, much easier for me.
  • talking in front of 10 people in the limit for me, anymore then that and i freak out and almost have a panic attack.
