  • I don't think so. Personally I have high regard for graphic designers. I would love to be a graphic designer. Graphic designers are very creative people.
  • 1) You can still become a graphic designer just because you have money, talent or the good connections. To become a doctor or a lawyer, you need a degree. 2) Many people think that they are able to make their own graphic design themselves, without having any qualification for doing this. In some few cases, they are very talented and succeed with this. 3) What counts for a graphic designer is not so much what they are supposed to have learned, but rather what they have already achieved and how long they have been doing this: "While many graphic designers obtain degrees in college (and occasionally certificates from accredited trade schools) a degree is usually – though not always – considered essential for a graphic design position. After a career history has been established, the graphic designer's experience and number of years in the business are heavily considered as the primary qualifications. A portfolio, which is the primary method for demonstrating these qualifications, is usually required to be shown at job interviews, and is constantly developed throughout a designer's career." But in the meantime, this could also apply to doctors or lawyers.
