  • To ask questions, to give answers and opinions, to make contact with like-minded people, to discover things you never knew, to broaden your horizons, to widen your outlook, to offer other ideas others have never considered, to share ideas, to have arguments, to have agreements, to make friends. Anything I've missed?
  • To make money. Just look over there ---> and over there <--- and up here ^ and down there ---V
  • When I joined I thought it was a site that you could ask serious questions and get real help and real encouragment and even some laughter. I found out that isn't the case. Serious ?s get maybe 1 or 2 answers. but you ask silly nonsense questions and people will give 3000 answers even to questions that are 5 years old. I have seen questions like "I want to kill myself" and people will answer with judgemental bullcrap" rather than compassion and caring. This site , in my eyes, is NOT what it was meant to be originally. If you need serious answers..you really can't get them here but you can get a million answers to "why is the sky blue". and let's not even get into how badly the trolls are ruining this site for everyone. I am about to leave and never come back. The last 2 weeks I have needed SERIOUS help and answers and I can't get them.
  • The intended purpose is to ask and answer questions. My purpose is to have fun doing exactly that :)
  • To let everyone know what a wise ass I am...but I can be helpful too:)
  • We've just done it..ask a question, receive answers. That's it. Whatever follows..extended dialog, friendship formation, learning, sharing what you know is gravy! Happy Wednesday! :)
  • To learn To teach To have fun doing it
  • Ask,,,Get,,,Receive,,,, Laugh,,;)!!
  • To kill time at work?! ;-)
  • Asking questions that bring value and meaning to the questioner Answering questions that supply helpful answers while also offering a source of enjoyment and interest for the answerer The acquisition of points. The points are, by no means, a wonderful currency. But the points communicate a sense of general approval with submitted content and create a structured system for organizing submissions. Networking and building rapport with friends that actually can become a meaningful, consistent presence in your overall experience. A learning experience. A global experience. In my opinion, AB is where it's at.
  • I found myself on this site quite by accident. I sent a question out to the internet on a Yahoo search and was directed to this site because somebody had previously asked the same question, and it was answered. Since then, I have asked more questions and answered some, and I have enjoyed (for the most part) input for people from all around the globe. For me... that's what this site is for!
  • AB's purpose is to be the best question and answer site on the Internet. From what I have seen, my first month here, is that it exceeds the expectations of many and falls short for very few. You can't please everyone. Personally, I enjoy the banter, the esprit d'corp, the challenges, and lending a helping hand now and again. The only criticism I have is focused on a handful of cowardly trolls that try to spoil it for everyone. Unfortunately, they plague every Q&A site. Sit back, ask a question or three, and answer/comment until your fingers go numb. ;-)
  • Humm... Ever try to post a comment only to realise later that what you were actually doing was answering your own question??? It happened to me. Sorry for any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused.
