If Gator-Done has taken up residence in a residential area, than it is simply not a safe situation. It could attack small children and domestic pets not to mention that your feedings could become careless one day and cause an accident.
I know it must be cool to see him out there and feed him - lord knows my man would want to do the same thing - but really is the risk worth it? I think he should be moved to a safer habitat that is gator-worthy.
Just my thoughts for what they are worth. +Points for a unique question!
    Hope this helps.

I would not feed him...just let him be. If, however, he starts wandering to look for food, then you must have him relocated. Someobody's pet..or worse, child...may be an innocent victim.

If the gator poses a threat to human or pet life in any way then call pest control.
All they will do is capture him and relocate him to somewhere more suitable and just think, it could be your childs life you save in doing so!

DO NOT FEED THE GATORS!!! You are doing this animal a great injustice!

That cute little gator your using for you entertainment and enjoyment has a brain about the size of a walnut. (assuming it is an average size gator where I am in Florida. About 6 foot.) It is a prehistoric animal that will eat your pets, small children or even you!

Once they lose their natural fear of man, (by being fed by your selfish immature actions) the only option left is to kill the innocent gator.

If I had my options the gator would get to live.
The people that are telling you to call animal control sound like natives and you sound like a foreigner in a strange new land you do not understand.

Wait! I was wrong. Go pet him on his stomach. They like that. It would serve you right!

I would not call animal control.I had once lived very close to a retention pond,or lake, that was in a large park. The city parks department did not see the need to move it and put up a sign ,"No swimming, beware of alligator? .It had a large alligator in it that had lived there for over a decade and was left alone. There was not one incident in that whole time.

Do you plan on keeping this gator till its full grown? Is there a fence around this pond? Is this a highly populated area were you live? are there small children nearby?

Gators will eat pets and children. You don't want to teach it to hang around nor to be unafraid of children. "People" are right, you need to call animal control and have it moved somewhere where it won't be in contact with humans and pets.
