From what I hear, they are both supposed to hit the ground at the same time. This is going off being told that a bullet falls at the same rate dropping rock.

This is a trick question. You have not written the size of each round, the projectile material, the grain of each round used or height of the gun being used to fire the projectile.

The one you drop of the table will hit the floor, not the ground.

That's an interesting question... but why is this filed under psychology? I'd bet on the dropped bullet, for several reasons. Unless the shooter is kneeling or shooting from the hip, the fired bullet has further to fall The fired bullet has a good chance of getting embedded in something and never hitting the ground If it does ricochet, it will likely lose any downward vertical velocity it had acquired while crossing the field and I'd hazard a guess that the gyroscopic effect of the spinning bullet might also interfere with vertical descent of the bullet I do not think the curvature of the earth's surface will be significant. All in all i'd bet on the dropped bullet.
