Cave men did, but not as long as there are alternatives.

Not while they are still alive, no. They really should be killed and skinned first. :) We should not be wasteful, but using, for example, a cow for both leather and meat is fine to me. We are going to eat the meat anyway, so why waste the leather? Killing animals just for fur when there are plenty of nice fake furs is unnecessary.

No. We have alternatives. Using fur is barbaric and not 'fashionable' or 'chic'. Certain designers these days should be SEVERELY dealt with for using it. Some animals are skinned-alive for their fur. I challenge any pro-fur person to view footage of these poor animals being skined on the PETA.com website and then see if they still keep their views. The only time when fur-use was acceptable was during the times when synthetic materials didnt exist. This is the 21st century.

Back then.. YES it was fine - but today with all the new technology NO - there are too many new ways to make clothing... ripping an animal apart just to feel the fuzzy fur is plain nuts! If God wanted us to wear fur he would have created us all like this guy...
-
Yes. specially if your eating it too.

only on the animals

No. We can use parts of creatures that do not harm the creatures. We are given wool, feathers, hair, milk, from these wonderful creatures. They have their own karma, right, and path just like we humans. We can never evolve to what we can and should attain to be if we stay stuck in the level of thought where it is okay to kill an innocent animal to satisfy some vanity of our ego.
