When you first joined AB who was the first person to "show you the ropes" and help you out if you ever needed a hand?

Lmao. Nobody. I had to learn it on my own, in a rather thoughtless and aggravating way. After that though, BigDaddyBS was kind enough to take some time to give me a few pointers and point me towards his profile, where a lot of helpful stuff is.

Nobody, there were a lot less ropes then and only a few regular users.

I'm still new, and haven't had anyone show me the ropes. I've pretty much jumped in feet first and hoping I've grabbed the right ropes and not about to hit the deck with a huge SPLAT. Splatted Daniel all over AB would not be pretty...

I remember Nevets being helpful to me regarding some issues with my computer and others that were AB-related. He was then an ever-constant presence on AB, haven't seen him in a long time.

I don't think anyone did. I learned from a lot of people, but none of them really did anything to help me, specifically, I just read what they said to other people. However, Stableboy once told me off about one of my answers, but I wouldn't have listened to him if I thought the way I do now, so I don't think that counts.

Wow, I honestly don't remember the first, but I remember Stableboy and Jodie44 being there in the beginning.

Id have to say Lisa, Redcatt, and Kedar helped me out the most in the beginning :)

I think Babycakes was the first to give me any help but there has been so many who have helped me along.

BAM (Bored as Mustard) really did a lot of hand holding and answering of my stupid questions when I first joined. I miss her around here:(

i dont think anyone really did but i made some good friends in a short time after.

I really don't remember who was the first to help me. I learned very slowly and did not have a listing of rules and how this point thing worked. I must have had 7 or 8 people ask me to be their friend before I asked anyone. I was very shy!!! Sweet T. helped me and fariewhings and idne was nice to me and babycakes and Sweet baby Jane and Kevisaurus. There were more but I don't remember who. Some were my friends and some still are although we never have become AB Friends in AB sense.

Hell I still get slugged into the ropes every now and again. Everybody takes a jab at me eventually, but that's the thing I love most about Answerbag, trading punches...or ideas...whatever.

I don't remember who was first to help or show me around the place. I do remember Stableboy, Jodie, Retroglide and Idne making comments and later asking me to be a Friend when that was added.

BigDaddyBS was numero uno. A few others, most notably Galeanda and whoever flagged my very first question as a duplicate. (I learned THAT lesson reeeeeeal fast!)

Hmmmmm....I actually don't know...or remember very well. But I'm sure it was a combination of all the ABers and their kindness toward my slow learning. :) Love you all!!!

Everyone was so amazingly kind to me. I could name names, but wow, it was such a wonderful introduction. I was so motivated to stay and be a good member. I don't want that feeling of positivity, kindness, and untarnished friendship to ever end.

No one in particular. I pretty much explored around the site and got it all down after a few months. I will say though that when I wanted to learn more about the history and regulations of AB, I went to BigDaddyBS's account and tapped into that wealth of information.

No one. People laughed and ridiculed me into learning/following the rules. Just like they do in real life.

I believe that would be "moi". I kinda stubbled my way around for the first few months until I discovered how things worked. Actually there are days I still learn something new. Galeanda helped me out on different occasions for which I was truly grateful. My first friends added were Royal and Loyal Tubist. I have made many new friends on AB including a certain Irish girl and her dogs.:)

Marsha in N.S. was the first to show me the ropes when I joined AB. I still have a lot to learn from her though. She also told me about all the wonderful people she met.
